Our Sustainability Practices
Arterra’s owner and principal, John Majeski, is a Sustainable Landscape Partner with the Associated Landscape Contractors of Colorado and a preferred contractor with Team Dave Logan.
We love the great outdoors and all that living in Colorado has to offer. Environmental stewardship drives the way we approach landscaping in the Front Range -- from water conserving designs and native plant integration to resource looping and material recycling.

Conserve Water, Reduce Time Spent Maintaining Your Landscape
Xeriscape designs can drastically cut home water bills by reducing or replacing water hungry lawn with drought-friendly ground covering materials, groupings of water-wise plants, shrubs, perennials, and native plants. Pollinator Gardens
Beautiful native perennial garden design provides pollinator habitat while creating some of the most captivating and ecologically appropriate landscape designs. Enjoy vibrant colors and fragrant aromas while delighting in watching a variety of pollinators that will be attracted to your home (hummingbirds, butterflies, honeybees, etc). |
We customize unique designs for any home aesthetic. Learn more about this system of landscape design based on principles of lessened water consumption on our blog.
Irrigation Efficiency
If a faucet inside your home leaks, someone is likely to notice quickly. Irrigation systems, however, can often develop inefficiencies, leaks, and need for maintenance without displaying immediate visual indicators. We offer irrigation efficiency consultations to give you the peace of mind that your system is running at an optimal level to sustain your landscape without overwatering, under watering, or letting leaks go undetected. Need help flushing your sprinkler lines before a freeze to prevent water expansion damage? We can help with that too. |
Resource Loop Closing Through Material Recycling
Each time we renovate a space, we divert as much natural material as possible at a partnering yard waste recycling facility. Natural materials such as stone, rockery, and soil return to nature or are processed into new materials rather than taking up space in landfills. These diversion processes help reduce greenhouse gases from landfill decay and gives materials a second life, often reducing methane gases. |
